How this is funded

Free checks are paid for out of pocket, which is why there is a daily limit on them. Beyond that, revenue comes from one place: people buying credit packs for Deep Checks. There are no advertisers, no sponsored reports, and no paid placement in the recent-checks feed.

No one can buy a label

• · Buying credits changes how thoroughly a video is checked, never what the labels say.
• · We do not accept payment to run, alter, delay or remove a report.
• · No platform, creator, agency or institution reviews a report before you see it.
• · The score is computed by fixed arithmetic, published in the methodology, not chosen per report.

What happens to your video

A check keeps nothing by default. If you publish a share link, the finished report is stored so the page can load — the media itself is not. Results are cached against the video so that when the same clip is checked again it loads instantly and costs nothing; that cache holds the report, not your identity. There are no accounts, and credit keys are stored hashed.

If you think a report is wrong

Reports describe claims, not people, and a claim we could not source may still be correct. If a label is wrong or a source does not say what the report implies, say so and it gets fixed: corrections are applied to the stored report and the cache is cleared so the next check reflects the fix. Creators are entitled to the same treatment as anyone else — a video is never labelled by who made it.
